Minutes and dictation for Salvadoran Spanish

Vocero investigates how to turn meetings into minutes with decisions, owners, and sources, and how to support dictation in regional Spanish. CareCompile seeks an institutional counterpart in El Salvador to define data, evaluation, and governance.

In development for internal use. Our own model is not trained yet.

01 / VOCERO

A focused program for meetings and dictation

The objective is narrow and verifiable: work with regional speech, retain human review, and measure every component before claiming results.

Minutes with sources

The design turns a transcript into decisions, tasks, and answers that cite their source lines. A person reviews anything that is saved or sent.

Regional dictation

The goal is to recognize voseo, local vocabulary, names, dates, numbers, and spoken punctuation commands without treating another Spanish variety as the only correct one.

Institutional work

The current request is to open a conversation with a Salvadoran counterpart about consented voices and texts, custody, and limited use.

What exists today and what remains

Vocero is not presented as an available commercial service. The site distinguishes built components, examples, and the development plan.

Implemented rules

The deterministic dictation command layer is built and can be tested on text in the browser. It applies punctuation, line breaks, and corrections, and flags ambiguities.

Synthetic demonstrations

The site's meetings and answers are fictional scripts. They illustrate the proposed format and citations; they do not show measured model performance.

Models still pending

Vocero's own speech recognition and minutes model are not trained. Regional data has not been gathered, and no baseline has been measured.

Eight principles to govern the program

These are the principles published on the site. The full document remains in preparation and is not presented as approved.

Dignity and informed consent · Data sovereignty

No one contributes a voice without knowing the purpose: consent is written, clear, and specific. Contributors, and El Salvador, decide about their data; it is not resold.

Limited purpose · Transparency

Data is used only to build and evaluate Vocero. The program should publish what data it uses, how it measures, and the system's limits.

Do no harm · Human oversight

Red lines exclude mass surveillance, political profiling, and voice identification without consent. Vocero assists; a person reviews and decides.

Linguistic equity · Accountability

The program includes voseo and speech across regions, ages, and genders. It provides for audit, withdrawal and deletion rights, independent review, and incident reporting.
